In the evening, Erebus' sister Nyx drew his darkness across the sky bringing night and his daughter Hemera scattered it at dawn bringing day - the first obscuring Aether, the heavenly light of the ether, the second revealing it. His two children whom are well known through Greek myth include Hemera, the Protogenos of Day, and Aether, Protogenos of Light, an ironic fact that the day and light would be the children of night and darkness. His equivalent in Roman Mythology is Scotus who was not as liked. His dark mists encircled the world and filled the deep hollows of the earth. Ahriman took over, and now is an ally of Team DxD.Įrebus is the Primordial god of Darkness and Mist, one of the original primordial deities, and second ruler of the cosmos along with being a child of Chaos. He was an honorary member of Alliance of Hell that previously was apart of the the now defunct Realm of the Dead who betrayed the Greek Pantheon after being taken over by Ahriman and Mictlantecuhtli. He is also the main arch-enemy of Unnamed Darkness and Scotus's arch-nemesis. He is the best friend of Yesod and arch-rival of Umashiashikabihikoji and Tiferet. Throughout his life, Erebus became the guardian of numerous gods, including Hades, Styx, Pandora, Hecate, Eris, Zagreus. He is also the older brother of Nyx and her original vanguard, having created a large number of entities with her from simple children to powerful deities like Hypnos, Thanatos, Nemesis, Aether, Hemera, Lachesis, Atropos, Clotho, Dolos and Many Others.
He is the youngest son of Chaos and Caligo and the younger brother of Chronos, Gaia, Ouranos, Ananke, Aion, Phanes, Tartarus, Eurynome, Ophion, Eros, Pontus, Physis and He is Husband of Elpis, Primordial Goddess of Hope.
